We’re looking for a creative, passionate and commercially minded leader, who brings experience in the field of service design, to join our team and guide the development of this fast-growing area of our business. Someone who can help us push the edge of this industry, grow our offer, build our team and nurture awesome client relationships.

You will bring a strong consultative skillset, next-level relationship building, excellent communications skills and a hunger to build a significant part of this business.

This role will be a critical driver of business growth. It will deliver this through working with the CEO to shape and implement Decidedly’s growth strategy, building on our core strengths of insight, innovation and tech, and honing our unique approach to service design and proposition development.

You’ll use your knowledge and experience to help shape our offer set and develop best practice processes and solutions. You will personally lead the sales and delivery of these to our most valued clients, and, along with the leadership team, will develop the growth plans that allow us to align the whole business behind our bespoke ways of working.

You will have a sharp mind and a clear ability to not just bring ideas, but to also develop the roll-out plan that makes them a reality and enables them to become an established part of our offer.

You’ll do this through developing our offer, developing the team’s skills and knowledge, and, critically, by living and breathing the values of our business: challenging thinking, operating at the edge and always being Amped (more on these values below!)

The core requirements of the role are:

  • Developing Decidedly’s Insight to Prototype (I2P) solution for our clients, building in best practice and identifying skills gaps and training needs at each step, to ensure this unique capability continues to differentiate us in the marketplace
  • Building the skills of consultative account owners and senior project managers to take our clients through our end to end solution, drawing on our qual, quant and prototyping skills at each step of the way
  • To develop our Agile toolkit and build up our solution design capabilities. For example, through developing our sprint-based I2P solution
  • Getting to know our biggest client accounts to continue to drive evolved best practice through their businesses
  • To work closely with the owners of our largest accounts to become a trusted advisor on service design / user centred design projects, further unlocking this area of business opportunity, and leading and owning projects in this area
  • To build in rigour and process behind these agile ways of working to build efficiency and best practice into our operations
  • Working with our business leaders to ensure seamless end to end processes and ways of working 
  • Working closely in partnership with the CEO to develop hire plans that support the growth of our Insight to Prototype solution
  • To drive the top-line, contributing a significant portion of the businesses revenue through engaging with clients, pitching solutions and overseeing the delivering of brilliant work
  • Demonstrably helping to make us famous for flagship products by: attending conferences, speaking at events, building a social profile 




You’ll be a strategic operator, with bags of energy and the ability to inspire and motivate others. You will:

  • Be passionate and knowledgeable about service design / human centred design / user centred design
  • Have considerable experience of working on proposition development within a consultancy environment or for a large corporation
  • Have a genuine passion for technology and innovation
  • Have a healthy respect for the role of insight and market data in guiding the best possible solutions
  • Have a proven experience of developing client relationships to drive business development
  • Be a clear self-starter but also have a proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Be able to provide expert leadership and consultancy that result in the agile development of market-leading propositions
  • Have experience of designing and costing complex projects accurately and profitably
  • Have strong relationship building and influencing skills
  • Be well versed in facilitating creative ideation and co-creation workshops designed to take stakeholders from insights to ideas and opportunities for new products and services that address identified consumer needs and pain points
  • Have proven people management experience 
  • Have strong commercial awareness and a proven track record of driving commercially advantageous outcomes for clients
  • Show a proven ability to cut through ambiguity and bring clarity to the process
  • Have a strong understanding of both Lean and Agile methods
  • Have an ability to challenge the business model and revenue model of products that are proposed or already in development 
  • Have an excellent academic record
